Jan 10, 2012 | Montgomery named to KSF board
Kansas Sampler Foundation president Lynda Fort announced that Eric Montgomery has been named to the board of directors.

Eric Montgomery currently serves as Chief of Staff to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt. Prior to coming to the office, Montgomery served as Chief of Staff to Schmidt in the Kansas Senate Majority Leader's Office from 2005 to 2011.

Earlier in his career, Montgomery worked in the communications, graphic design and printing fields. He is also a former White House photographer who served in the George H. W. Bush administration.

Originally from Caney, Kansas, Montgomery served on the Caney city council and currently is a Caney Community Foundation Board member. Montgomery has strong ties to rural Kansas as his parents were small business owners in Caney for over 55 years.

The mission of the Inman-based non-profit is to preserve and sustain rural culture. Other board members are Lynda Fort, Ulysses; Shelia Lampe, Piqua; Ellen Morgan, Salina; and Shari Wilson, Kansas City. The director is Marci Penner.
