A Hopp'in Good Time in McPherson!

Explorer Outing in McPherson Thursday, June 20, 2019          Register here. $42.
 
We have room for the first 20 Kansas Explorer Club members and families or friends.
 
2:15-2:25 p.m.  Board the trolley at the McPherson Museum, 1111 E. Kansas Ave.
 
2:30 p.m.  Tour of The Clayworks. An entrepreneurial creation of Disability Supports of the Great Plains, this artists’ studio offers individuals with disabilities the chance to explore their own unique creativity and artistic expression — and to profit from their work.  We can shop in the gift shop, too.
 
3:15 p.m.  Tour of the McPherson Opera House.  Enjoy a tour of this opera house that dates back to 1889.
 
4 p.m.  Tour of McPherson Museum.  See displays about the city and county namesake, General McPherson; about the first man-made diamond large enough to be visible, created in McPherson; items from the McPherson Globe Refiners basketball team, the first team ever to win an Olympic gold medal.
 
5 p.m.  Trolley tour of historic homes.
 
5:30 p.m.  Dinner at Ristorante Italiano di Famiglia.  Choose from three choices on the registration form.
 
6:30 p.m.  You'll be taken to your cars at this point.  Hope you join us for the concert.
 
7 p.m.  Kansas Sampler Foundation is the recipient of Concerts for a Cause at the Hopp's Sno Shack stage, 214 E. Euclid.  Robin Macy will perform!
