Seeking  Office Manager & Bookkeeper     

Status: Part-Time (Approx. 10-15 hours/week; $20/hour) | In-office, some remote | Start Date: August 15-ish 

Reports to: Executive Director     

About the Role   

Behind every powerful mission is someone who keeps the wheels turning. As the Office Manager and Bookkeeper for KSF, you’ll ensure the back office runs smoothly so that the team can focus on preserving and sustaining rural Kansas. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and aligned with our grassroots values.  While most of the KSF team is remote, this role is ideal for someone located within 30 minutes of our Inman office who can come into the office at least once a week. You’ll be the heartbeat of our operations—balancing QuickBooks, reconciling reports, keeping donor records updated, and supporting our small but mighty staff with administrative tasks.     

Core Responsibilities   

  • Manage bookkeeping using (online) QuickBooks, including reconciliations, invoices, and reporting  
  • Processing payroll and related filings  
  • Support grant documentation and compliance tracking  
  • Maintain organized digital and paper records  
  • Manage vendor communications and contracts  
  • Update donor records in Bloomerang and support fundraising admin  
  • Help with office coordination and basic HR documentation as needed  
  • Manage Explorer membership data base  
  • Help with off-site events   

Ideal Candidate   

  • Prior experience in nonprofit bookkeeping and admin (QuickBooks required)  
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with care   
  • Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems is a plus   
  • Based in or near Inman, Kansas with ability to come into the office weekly   
  • Friendly, trustworthy, and aligned with KSF’s rural values and mission
