Rural Doers Invited to Big Rural Brainstorm: Network It

Community doers, leaders, volunteers, citizens, and business owners are all invited to participate in the Kansas Sampler Foundation's "Big Rural Brainstorm: Network It" on March 19 in Lindsborg.

Labeled an "un-conference" because of the lack of traditional break-out sessions, the event will feature a revolving array of small and large networking groups that provide an opportunity for attendees to lend help and receive help on community, business, or personal issues.

Foundation director Marci Penner said, "We're looking for people in rural communities who feel isolated and don't know where to turn for answers, support and resources.  Whether you are a president of the bank or a bank teller, if you are feeling like there is more to give and get out of rural community living, we invite you to be part of this positive environment. We will match you up with people who have answers or can guide you.   Small town, big city, we welcome everyone to this."

Held at the Sundstrom Conference Center, the Big Rural Brainstorm will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with a "Warm-Up Round" at 9 a.m.  Registration fee is $60.

People can register, sponsor or see who has already signed up at kansassampler.org.
